When was the rally?
April 2, 2004
What was the plan?
- A road trip beginning in the morning at WVU’s NRCCE in Morgantown and ending with an evening banquet in Charleston
- We met with students and played Rally games at pit stops along the way to educate them about HEVs and the role West Virginia can play in clean coal to hydrogen
- We talked with the media to educate the public about the benefits of HEVs
- Prizes were awarded to the top scorers at the banquet.
Why I should have participated?
- Because it was FUN
- Because hybrid electric vehicle owners are leaders in promoting alternative fuel vehicles by their example
- Because hybrid electric vehicles promote cleaner air and energy independence today
- Because it was a chance to meet other HEV owners
- Because it was a chance to influence young minds and decision-makers.
